World Collective
The music of Eva Català is the expression of a unique universe where the vocabulary of modern jazz pulses alongside global rhythmic elements.
Premiered at the International JazzMadrid 23' Festival, this latest project led by the young drummer and percussionist Eva Català, emerges as a quintet with Julio Marín on tenor saxophone and clarinet, Brian Aching on electric guitar, Maite Arregi on piano and keyboards, and double bassist Miquel Àlvarez. These artists are deeply connected to their cultural heritage, sharing a creative soul with a forward-looking perspective.
What emerges from this combination is expressive music that stands out for its rhythmic intensity, particular harmonic richness, and exceptional virtuosity. A musical experience that pays homage to the instinctive human quest to build bridges between cultures, eras, and people.
